Celebrate Generosity Day!

Posted on 2/14/12 by Jeff Achen

It’s Valentines Day (or as we in the world of charity like to call it - Generosity Day), so we’re spreading a little nonprofit love. We will select four random people to receive a $25 GiveMN.org Giving Card. To be eligible for the giveaway, just tell us what you’d do with a giving card here in the comments section or on our Facebook or Twitter page. Or, simply re-Tweet or share the Facebook post about the giveaway with your friends.

Winners will be announced on Twitter and Facebook at noon, 2 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

We want to know which nonprofits you love. And, if the giving card is going to be a present for a loved one, tell us why you’re excited to give it to them.

And remember, Giving Cards can be purchased anytime of year. Visit: https://givemn.razoo.com/gift_cards/orders/new to send one today!

Happy Generosity Day everyone!

I'd use a GiveMN giving card to support Southside Family Nurturing Center- a social service agency providing therapeutic early childhood education and parent support and education services to families in South Minneapolis.

What I would do with a giving card is to give it to the Madelia Comminity Hospital Foundation Memorial Garden. The garden is in the planning stages to honor past employee's and board members who have passed away. This past year we lost a good friend , Vicki Rosenburg, to cancer and this giving card would be given in her honor.

I would love to win the Giving Card to give to my daughter. I have always taught her that the best way to live your life is to support those organizations in the community that make life better for others. She has a low-paying job, but she contributes to United Way every pay period. I'd like to give her the opportunity to help another organization of her choice.
